CoolSculpting
How many treatments will I need?
The length and number of treatments will depend on what you decide with your clinician during your consultation. Upon your first visit, we will talk with you to put together a customized plan that will address your needs and get you the results you want. Generally, each treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes, but the proper length of time is decided based on the number of areas being treated. As an added benefit, Ageless Image offers patients dual CoolSculpting machines, which cuts down on treatment time needed.
Does it hurt?
Right away the cold temperature of the applicator may be intense, but that will subside within the first few minutes as the area numbs. You may also feel slight pinching or pulling due to the vacuum applicator. In general, you should feel no pain over the duration of the procedure.
When will I notice results?
You may start seeing results in as little as three weeks, but the most dramatic results will occur around two months after treatment. The fat will be gradually flushed out of the body for as long as four to six months.
Are the results permanent?
While the fat eliminated from the body will not return, parts of the body that haven’t been treated with CoolSculpting can develop fat tissue, so be sure to continue practicing a lifestyle with a healthy diet and exercise to maintain results.
Are there any side effects?
Following the CoolSculpting procedure, you may notice some redness, swelling, bruising, tingling, and other skin sensitivity in the treatment area. All are temporary and will go away in a few days or weeks. More severe effects are rare but possible. Consult with your physician before undergoing any treatment.
Does it require any recovery?
Since CoolSculpting is not a surgical procedure, you should be able to return to your regular activities right away.
How much will CoolSculpting cost?
Since CoolSculpting is an elective procedure, insurance will not cover the treatment. The cost can vary, depending on the areas you want to treat and how many treatments you decide with your clinician. Botox/Dysport
Does Botox hurt?
Most clients report little to no discomfort during the injection procedure, no more than a small pinch. We do offer topical numbing if you are anxious about the discomfort factor.
How long until I see results from Botox/Dysport?
People receiving Dysport often see results in as little as 24 hours. Botox takes a little longer, between 24-72 hours to see first results. Full results can be observed at around fourteen days.
I just had Botox/Dysport and don’t see the result I was hoping for. Can I come back in for more treatment?
We request that all clients wait fourteen days after their Botox/Dysport treatment to come in for a follow up. Re-treatment before the 14 day mark may result in facial asymmetry, as full results cannot be properly observed before then.
How much Botox/Dysport do I need?
Every face is different. A consult with our experienced Nurse Injector will allow us to accurately quote how many units you will need to achieve your desired result. There is no pressure to purchase anything at time of consultation.
How much downtime is there with Botox/Dysport?
Most clients go directly back to their day-to-day activities following treatment. We only advise that you refrain from any excessive physical activity the day of your treatment, and that you do not apply make-up over the injection points for 12 hours.
How long does Botox/Dysport last?
Again, everybody is different. For most people, results begin to fade in three to four months.
Dermal Fillers
Do fillers hurt?
Depending on your individual pain tolerance, and where you’re using the filler, discomfort levels vary. We use a medical strength topical numbing agent to make all filler injections as comfortable as possible. Most people report little more than mild discomfort.
How much does filler cost?
We carry a range of different fillers for different facial areas and concerns. Most people use at least one syringe, depending on the area being treated, and the thicker/longer-lasting the product is, the more expensive it is.
As with Botox, we advise a consultation with our Nurse Injector in order to get the most accurate quote of how much your treatment will cost.
How long will my filler last?
Again, this is entirely case-specific. It will always depend on what product you purchase and the area you are treating, as well as how quick your metabolism is. As a general rule, fillers last between 6-12 months. The thickest, most expensive fillers may last longer — generally 18-24 months. When you are treated, we can give you an estimate of how long your specific filler might last.
Will I be bruised or swollen after my filler appointment?
Bruising and swelling are definite possibilities with any filler. We provide pre and post care instructions to you to minimize your chances of bruising as best we can. We will provide ice to you after your appointment to bring swelling down, and can advise natural supplements to aid in this process as well. Any swelling or bruising that does occur will normally resolve itself in one to two weeks. We encourage you to follow up with us if you have any concerns.
Will I see results immediately after my appointment?
With filler, results can be instantaneous. Given that filler injections cover a larger area than Botox/Dysport, you may have some bruising or swelling that persists for a short while, particularly in the lip region. You can expect this swelling to go down and see true results after 1-2 weeks.
Is filler reversible?
Most of the fillers we offer are Hyaluronic Acid-based fillers, which are reversible. In the unlikely event you want to dissolve some of your filler, this can be done in-office during a short visit.
Spa & Other FAQs
Do you have any specials on injectables running currently?
A list of monthly specials is emailed out to our email-list at the start of each month. You can also find current specials on our website under Promotions.
What’s the difference between a Hydrafacial and a regular facial?
A Hydrafacial is performed using a state-of-the-art machine that provides exfoliation, hydration, and extraction. It uses vortex-fusion technology to pull out impurities while infusing a potent blend of peptides and actives into the skin. There is usually no downtime or ‘purge’ with this type of facial.
How long does Microblading last? Is it permanent?
Microblading deposits hairlike strokes of cosmetic pigment into the skin, and is considered semi-permanent. Most people see results last about three years, when sticking to the recommended maintenance schedule.
Does Microblading hurt?
As with other potentially uncomfortable procedures, we apply medical strength topical numbing cream to the area prior to initiating treatment. After this kicks in, most people report only minor discomfort.
Why do I need a credit card on file to book an appointment?
Like most appointment-based services, we require a credit card to secure your appointment. This card will not be charged unless you no-show your appointment, following which a no-show fee of $75 will be charged. This fee is applied to your account in the form of a credit, which you can use towards your next scheduled service. We work hard to accommodate everyone - if you cannot make your appointment, please let us know. Appointments cannot be cancelled online.
How long after Botox/Filler do I have to wait to have spa/facial treatments done?
We always advise that you have any facials or laser treatments on your face done before you have filler or Botox injected, so as not to shift or irritate the injected areas. If you have already been injected, we recommend you wait at least two weeks before having facial treatments.
How many IPL/laser/Micropen treatments do I need to see my desired results?
This depends on your specific skin type and concerns. As a rule, we recommend at least three treatments to see full results, though most people do see improvement after one treatment. You may require more, depending on what you’re treating. A consultation is the best way to find out how many treatments our Aesthetician recommends for your specific complaint.
Is Elleebana the same as lash extensions?
No, Elleebana is quite different from lash extensions. It involves curling and tinting your own lashes, giving you a wide-eyed look for up to twelve weeks. If you have short or missing lashes, your results may be slightly different from someone with longer or fuller natural lashes. Elleebana is a great alternative to lash extensions, and is much less damaging. It also requires less maintenance.
When can I go back to work following my procedure?
As a general rule, most of our treatments have no serious downtime. With 1540 laser, Microneedling, PRP and chemical peels, there may be some redness or discoloration immediately after and some peeling in the days following treatment. With these treatments, we advise you schedule on a day off or after work, for these reasons.
Am I a candidate for laser hair removal?
You can book a consultation with our aesthetician for a definite answer to this question. Laser hair removal relies on melanin (the pigment that gives color to our hair and skin), so tends to be most effective for people with light skin and dark hair. Our aesthetician will meet with you and discuss your options, as well as quoting your estimated cost.
What is PRP (platelet rich plasma)?
PRP is obtained from your own blood, which is drawn as usual from your arm by our RN. The whole blood is centrifuged to separate it from the platelets. We then use the platelet serum as a glide with a micropen treatment or inject it into areas that need a boost of collagen. It stimulates collagen production and, when combined with micropen, accelerates healing.
