What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a substance that harnesses the healing power of platelets and growth-factors present in your own blood. Platelets stimulate a stem cell response encouraging new collagen growth, damage reversal, and cell repair. Over time, this response recruits collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts, that replace damaged or lost tissue with healthy skin cells.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios.

Our PRP system allows us to simply remove nearly all red cells, white cells, and platelet poor plasma (PPP) without removing a high percentage of platelets.

Where does PRP come from?

Patients provide a blood sample, which is collected with our PRP system. Then, a separator gel technology isolates the platelets while eliminating the undesirable components such as red blood cells and inflammatory white blood cells, thus producing platelet rich plasma.

What do platelets do?

Platelets release growth factors which aide the healing process by signaling to surrounding cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue. By utilizing our state-of-the-art system, we are able to provide a high concentration of PRP with a low inflammatory profile.
